Budiman Ong studied Applied Art at Gray School of Art in Aberdeen UK, which has an extensive ceramic wokrshop for him to play with, his journey with ceramic started then. His ceramic background follows him right through his professional career when he was working for John Hardy. There he developed one of a kind pieces combining ceramic raku technique with silver casing.
Budiman Ong then founded Jia by OCK in 2020 and preside as creative director. It is the sister brand of Ong Ceng Kuang, a brand specified in lighting.
