Honey & Smoke Ubud ceramics by Kevala — nature-inspired slip cast pieces for Chef Will Meyrick’s wood fire bistro on Monkey Forest Road. With a speak-easy feel and a modern Australian menu, Honey & Smoke celebrates the art of the chargrill in a suavely styled space reminiscent of traditional train carriages.
In close collaboration with Chef Will Meyrick, Kevala’s ceramic designs seamlessly complement the restaurant’s concept, drawing inspiration from the stylistic films of director Wes Anderson. Much like the vibrantly dressed venue, the collection combines rustic colours with nature-inspired shapes reminiscent of lily pads and seashells, creating a visually striking ensemble.
Playing with different glaze colours and techniques, each piece in the collection is crafted using Kevala’s slip casting process, ensuring unique shapes that enhance the dining experience.
